Life-long Learning Habits
The 7 1/2 life-long learning habits opened my eyes to my strengths and weakness of being a life-long learner. I was able to sit back and reflect on if I am following the steps that where suggested. I can say that most of the steps do come naturally and those that don't I am working on. I try to start with the end in mind. This gives me a focus of what I want to learn. I understand that if I don't put forth the effort to learn, learning wont take place. Challenges come and go, the value is what we learn from our challenges. Having confidence is probably where I struggle. I know that I am competent, but there always seems to be that bit of doubt that holds me back. Creating a toolbox is the fun part. I enjoy collecting ideas that help me to be a better learner. We have come a long way with technology. Technology is the freedom of learning at your finger tips. Sharing knowledge is enjoyable when others have a desire to learn. Teachers experience this joy when their students receive that light bulb moment. Finally, being able to let loose and have some fun is key, I can't ever take myself to seriously.

Hey John, trying to start with the end in mind is one of my big struggles! I love your comment on how it give you focus. That's where I have the hard time, I get so caught up in the muck that I lose sight of the end. Be confident in what you're doing! I can already tell how great you are! It's nice to have some male persussaion in the group this semester.
